Forget love, I'd rather fall in Chocolate!

Random samplings of my life

Ok first I have to say, I don't know what's wrong with my blog - I think I'm going to have to delete all my widgets and start over or something - but I don't have time for that right now.
Why you ask? Because I have to pack my entire house in six days while also working and running a million and a half errands, including going to two different doctor appointments. Then I get to pay about $600 for the moving truck and gas to take all my crap 250 miles away. Fun huh?
Good news (I think) - I signed a lease on a new MUCH BIGGER house yesterday! I can't afford it yet, but there is no backing out now! Hopefully I'll get a great paying job and that won't be an issue. It really is a nice house with a super big front and back yard both - except it desperately needs an outside paint job. Supposedly the owner is going to paint it by the end of the summer, but she didn't want to put it in writing, so we'll see...
My favorite part?
The fireplace goes through the wall - so it's in BOTH livingrooms! :)
Also good news - my awesome sister Sarah is moving up there with me! Yay!!!
And good news, the house is less than 5 miles from the girls' Daddy so they'll get to see him SO SO SO much more often.
Bad news - I have never been too fond of Granbury - and it's just getting worse. They have no Hobby Lobby, no Michaels, and only ONE scrapbook store in the whole dang town! And they have no Outback Steakhouse!!! What's with that? And so far I have had no luck finding a job in Granbury, so if I have to work in Fort Worth it's going to kill me on gas and driving time. :(
Ok, that's my quick update, I must get back to packing!

Assignment:
"June 6: Through the eyes of a child.
If you have a child; Allow the child to take your camera and find something they like to take a picture of. Do not prompt them on what to take, leave them to themselves to pick it.
If you do NOT have a child…you lucky bastards; Get down on your stomach or knees, about the height of child or baby and see what you see from there point of view. "
I have two children, who love to take pictures! (No idea where they got that from... heeheehee)
So, I turned the camera over to them this evening and asked them to go find
Amelia who is almost 3 years old took about a dozen pictures or so when I told her to pick something to take a picture of this evening. I'm not going to show them all, but here are a few.
Ice cream cones, the turtle/fish tank, and the tv didn't surprise me, but why on earth she wanted to take a picture of the vinegar is beyond me, because I keep a little spray bottle of vinegar for when the kids cuss, smart off, etc. They get a little spray in the mouth, and they call it "the yucky stuff." I couldn't use soap on Mia because she likes to eat it, so I had to come up with something else. Works like a charm on Lexi too though, much better than the soap!
And then half of Mia's pictures looked like this:
Alexia has better camera aim, and she took about twice as many photos as Mia. Again, definitely not showing all of them, but here are some.
Games and books are two of her favorite things, and she's been watching the calendar anticipating going to her Dad's for part of the summer, and she's always like candles.
This one I'm not so sure about. A pantry full of food? It almost makes my paranoia set in - I hope she doesn't develope an eating disorder....

So I had an absolute blast at my very first scrapbook retreat last month - Scrap Away, but I was so super busy I only completed two pages!
But both pages were "double use challenges" so I not only recieved raffle tickets at the retreat for them, but I got to enter them into online contests after I got home... except I didn't win either of them. My little sister Beth did win one of them though!
I got to use the awesome new grungeboard that I bought at the retreat on both pages too!
Stars on the top page, and an arrow on the bottom page. I think grungeboard is one of my new best friends...
